Hell yea
I started learning hammered dulcimer as a new year’s resolution in January 2024 and it was such a good decision based on all of the above reasons. Plus, it’s fun!
I started piano when I was 33 years old. I didn’t know where it would take me. I loved going back to the discipline of practice and discovering music from a different angle. That said, I always thought that you are a musician to the core. I just looked up Dulcimer to hear a bit what it looks and sounds like. First off, it’s a beautiful instrument visually. It has a folksy look that I love. Second the sound is sweeter than a guitar, more melodic and delicate, but with some power. I wish you best travel with it.
